Fifty years ago, it was difficult to find a bald eagle in the lower forty-eight United States. In Ohio, only four nesting pairs remained. Today, due to government regulations and the actions of caring individuals, bald eagles are no longer an endangered species and are in fact thriving throughout the country and in Ohio.
